At SHout!, we believe every young adult deserves a secure financial future. Our mission is to support young adults as early as possible with financial questions and concerns, so problems can be prevented rather than dealt with afterwards. We provide a safe, judgement-free space where young adults can talk openly about money, and where we work together towards clarity, stability, and a better outlook for the future.

Vision
We believe that talking openly about money makes all the difference.By making finances something that can be talked about openly, and by providing young adults with the right knowledge and guidance at an early stage, many problems can be prevented. Prevention is always better than cure. Our vision is of a society where every young adult knows where to turn with financial questions and has the opportunity to build their future with confidence.

Our story
We work in a way that is both needs-led and focused on young people. This means we think alongside you and provide guidance, clarity, and knowledge that suit your personal situation.

Our initiative began in 2016, after we spoke to many young adults with financial questions. Questions that, if answered in time, could have prevented serious financial difficulties. Questions that should never have stood in the way of future opportunities. And questions that often remained unanswered, simply because it was unclear where they could turn for support.

We saw that there was plenty of support available once someone was already in debt, but very little support when it came to preventing those problems in the first place. Yet that is exactly where the real difference can be made. Prevention was missing.

That is why we decided to do things differently: creating one place where young adults can go with all their financial questions, while also giving workshops across secondary education, vocational education (MBO), higher professional education (HBO), and university level (WO).

For years, we did this alongside our regular jobs. In 2022, we were able to establish our foundation and fully dedicate ourselves to the further development of SHout!.

Thanks to the trust and support of Mr Loek Dijkman, we were able to make our dream a reality: supporting young adults become financially stronger and improving their opportunities for the future.
